How Do I Get in Shape For the Event?

A PHYSICAL IS RECOMMENDED FOR ALL LAND ROVER PARTICIPANTS. CONSULT YOUR PERSONAL PHYSICIAN.


The tasks are designed to keep the teams “on the move” all day long. Physical activities will include the following:

Running: You should be able to run at least one to two miles.


Mountain biking: Be able to bike a quick 2-3 mile sprint, plus biking over some challenging terrain which may include carrying the bike.


Kayaking/Canoeing/Rafting: You should be able to paddle/steer a kayak, canoe or raft, plus be able to swim fully clothed in the event you fall into the water.


Vehicle Related Tasks: Carrying logs, removing and replacing tires, and transporting other vehicle-related equipment will require strength and the ability to lift heavy objects.
