HOW TO TRĕK
WHAT AM I IN FOR?
Each participating team will compete in a trial consisting of eight “Special Tasks”. The competition will last approximately 12 hours.
The competition day’s agenda will be handed out on the night of arrival. Be familiar with it and be on time.
Scoring details, task directions and objectives will be reviewed on the arrival evening and before each event. Copies of instructions will also be handed out to each team upon arrival.
Teams will be scored on either the time it takes them to complete a task, or the order in which they finish the task. In some cases, time penalties may be incurred, adding to the overall finishing time.
There will be a set time period between events for transit. Late teams will not be given a later start time. The task will start on time whether or not a team is ready. Late teams will be penalized.
When an event requires that teams start individually rather than all at once, the starting order will be drawn at random by the judges prior to the event start. Teams will be notified of their starting position just prior to the event start.
The tasks are designed to provide equal opportunities for all teams. No exceptions or handicaps will be made due to weather or changes in course conditions during the day. That’s TRĕK!
The best total score for the day’s events will determine the winner.
