HOW TO TRĕK
TEAM QUALIFICATIONS
TReK '08 will take place in October/November. The location will be in the United States, and will be announced just prior to the competition.
Each registered team must confirm their registration. Your Retailer's Dealer Principal or Centre Manager must sign and return the attached Fax Back Form by COB June 30th to ensure that your team's registration is confirmed. All team member information must be uploaded by COB June 30th or included on this Fax Back Form.
- All employees of Land Rover Retailers are eligible to participate. Past competitors are eligible.
- Participants will form teams consisting of three employees per retail outlet. Team members must be from different areas of specialization (i.e., parts, sales, service), and one team member must be new to TRĕK.
- Applicants from shared facilities must dedicate 50% or more of their time to Land Rover products.
- All applicants must be employed by a Land Rover Retailer for at least 60 days.
- Each participating Retailer must have completed 100% of the required LRU web-based training courses in all departments (Sales, Service and Parts) by Friday August 15, 2008 to be eligible to compete. Training reports showing your employees, the required web-based courses, and their completion of those courses are updated every Monday, and are available from the Manager drop-down menu in LRU OnLine.
PLEASE NOTE:
There has been a change to the requirements for Support Personnel. These employees are only required to complete "LRU Web" and "Getting Your Feet Wet" in order for your Retailer to qualify for TRĕK.
Employees hired after 5/1/08 are not included in the calculation, as they have 90 days to complete their web-based training per the LRU Training Standards (Bulletin OTR07-03).
If there are any employees listed on your reports who no longer work for Land Rover, please "inactivate" them in LRU Online using the Employee Information screen accessed under the Employees menu.
- Teams will be selected first come, first served. Once all the positions are filled there will be a wait list. Wait listed teams will be ranked by CSI as of July 2008 and become a competing team only if a previously enrolled team drops out. Stay prepared to compete.
- This year's global Land Rover G4 Challenge and TRĕK '08 events will support the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Throughout the coming year, LRNA will engage in a number of fundraising activities specifically in support of the American Red Cross and its Disaster Relief in the US, and the Canadian Red Cross. LRNA is requesting that each TRĕK '08 Retailer team assist in supporting this worthwhile effort by helping to raise money for the American Red Cross/Canadian Red Cross respectively (American Red Cross for US Teams, Canadian Red Cross for Canadian Teams). Each Retailer team is asked to RAISE A MINIMUM OF $500 in advance of the TRĕK '08 Territorial Trials. You are encouraged to exceed this fundraising target with local efforts of your choice. The team that raises the most in support of this cause will receive special recognition for their altruistic efforts. Funds will be collected prior to the beginning of the Territorial Trials.
